The Mental Health Awareness Cell of the college is a supportive initiative dedicated to promoting the emotional and psychological well-being of students. Comprising professors from various departments, the Cell serves as the first point of contact for students experiencing academic stress, anxiety, personal difficulties, family concerns, relationship issues, or challenges related to adjustment and self-esteem.
The Cell provides a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment where students can openly discuss their concerns. Its primary aim is to listen, guide, and offer appropriate support while helping students develop healthy coping strategies and resilience. When necessary, the Cell also facilitates referrals to professional mental health practitioners for specialized care.
In addition to one-to-one interactions, the Mental Health Awareness Cell organises awareness programmes, workshops, and interactive discussions on stress management, emotional well-being, mindfulness, and mental health literacy. These activities encourage students to seek help without fear of stigma and foster a culture of empathy and inclusivity on campus.
By ensuring that every student has access to compassionate guidance at an early stage, the Mental Health Awareness Cell plays a vital role in creating a nurturing academic environment where students feel heard, valued, and empowered to overcome personal and educational challenges while pursuing their holistic development.
