The Common Services Centre is a strategic cornerstone of the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) approved by the Government of India in September 2006 to introduce e-Governance on a massive scale. They are access points aimed at providing essential government and non-government services to citizens through digital means by creating a physical service delivery ICT infrastructure within the reach of the citizens. In 2015, under the Digital India program, CSCs were further empowered to offer a broader range of services, making them a vital component of the government’s strategy to enhance digital inclusion. St. Paul’s Cathedral Mission College has a functional unit of the Common Services Centre (CSC) that offers the students and staff members of the College as well as the people of the neighbouring areas with different kinds of e-services (like Aadhar Card enrolment and update, PAN application and update, Ration Card application and update, financial services, etc.).
