Continuous Internal Evaluation according to the the UGC guidelines and NEP 2020 directives conducted by the Department of Political Science at a Glance

Continuous Internal Evaluation at the Department follows UGC guidelines and NEP 2020 directives regarding round the year evaluation of students’ progress.

The Department follows the College guidelines and organises:

  • Remedial classes- This is aimed at students who repeatedly perform poorly in their written exams.
  • Mentoring- This is done for all students to understand the challenges they face at homes, society, personally or academically that hinder their class performance.
  • Internal Assessments- These are conducted for all students to test them before the final University exams.
  • Tutorials- Written projects on topics assigned by the Department are assigned and students are encouraged to use ICT in their research work.
  • Seminars- Every batch of students are encouraged to give oral presentations along with PPT presentations on a set topic to improve their communication skills and subject knowledge.
  • Quizzes and Group Discussions- This is conducted for all students at the successful completion of a module or the entire syllabus.
