B] Intellichem Identifier - An Android OS-based app (suitable for smartphones and assorted devices)

IntelliChem Identifier is an online search engine and comprehensive resource to cater to all of the queries that students encounter relating to identification of a pure organic compound through qualitative analysis. Qualitative Organic Analysis (QQA) of an unknown organic compound entails a series of systematic experiments through which students collect physical data of the given sample and decipher the identity of the functional groups present in the same. The aspiration is to correctly identify the given sample among a set of possible candidates by stepwise analysis that include noting of the melting point or boiling point, detecting any special elements, if present, identifying the functional group(s) and finally confirming the identity of the sample through suitable derivetization.

The programme is a continuously expanding database, currently featuring over hundreds of organic samples along with their relevant physical data, chemical behavior and detailed methods covering a range of derivative formation for each sample. This tool is made available for browsing the dataset, gleaning relevant experimental details and testing your organic chemistry skills that you will require to identify the assigned unknown organic compound.
