RODDUR, the Bengali word for sunlight is in keeping with the words of Jesus who urged his disciples to metaphorically be light and salt in a world full of needy and hurting people. Salt has twin purposes, to enhance the flavour and as a preservative. Light serves the purpose to dispel darkness. In keeping with this, the outreach programme of the College family is committed to help the poor and downtrodden children of the street dwellers who reside on the pavements around the College. The College family feels the responsibility to commit to bringing about hope and transformation in the lives of these precious children by providing them an opportunity to be taught by the College students and teachers on a weekly basis.
• Encouraging street dwellers to allow their children to continue with their education.
• Creating public awareness that education is still not accessible to all.
• Sensitizing our students to take up causes for the marginalized and vulnerable children.
• Showering love and compassion and championing social justice as an institution.
